15 years ago I gave birth far too soon to a beautiful Angel baby, who I named Ashleigh Ann.
As I was only 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant, I wasn't given the option to have a funeral for you as you were just under the legal gestation age to be called "a baby", so I wouldn't be given a death certificate to arrange final goodbye for you, my tiny bundle, that my heart was aching for.
So each year for the last 15 years, on 5th August since 1994 at 16:16pm, I have listened to the same song that I listened to as I held you for the First time. The song that had been on the hospital radio all those years ago, "love is all around" by Wet,Wet,Wet.
The words in the song "You know i love you, i always will. My minds made up, by the way that i feel. There's no beginning there'll be no end, cause on my love you can depend", get me everytime.
The love that burst into my heart for you, when I found out I was carrying you in my tummy, has grown stronger and stronger day by day and year after year. Your are and always have been, a big part of my family unit, even at Christmas you get a card just like your brother and sisters who came after you do and they know all about you and accept that on days like today, as they have mummy all year round, on the 5th August at 16:16pm, they all give me that moment so I can have my space to think about you and only you.
I love you, and knowing that I still sense you around me makes me so happy to have carried you. To have felt you move, to feel you have the hiccups. The picture's of your scan's and the sweet smell that I remember smelling when I held you, for the short time that I was allowed to, the day after your heart was no longer beating inside me. Next to mine.
Remembering you now for the 15th year, with more love than ever.

Dearest Ashleigh, your Daddy asked me to mention him to you. We have not long been back in touch with each other after losing contact before I found out that I was pregnant with you. hence He wasn't told about you til a few years after you became an Angel Baby not only do you have a brother and 3 sisters from my family unit but you also have a little brother and sister from his family unit too. He wants you to know that you are deeply loved my him too and he wishes things had been different and he misses you just as much as I do. I wish you could give him one of those Daddy-Daughter hugs just to show him that you are round him (i think he needs it from you) as i feel you around me often. I want you to know that he is a lovely man but we lived too far apart to make things work. You take after him with you height too as you were really long for a baby so young in age and he is 6ft 4. He would have made you laugh and most likely taken you fishing too.

The years have flown so fast to get to this day.
I still wonder what kind of music you'd be into, the kind of clothes you would choose to wear.
What you would be doing with your life right now.
How many disagreements we'd have had because your boyfriend you chose wasn't the right one for my little girl lol.x
How many times you'd have shouted at your younger brother and sisters for messing around with your things.
Wishing so much that you were here right now.,

After making his new angel
God looked down from above
He happened to notice you
And all he saw was love
He said to the angel
"I need to send you there,
There is where you'll be loved
Where you will feel the most care"
So God sent you this angel
To nuture, love and grow
But not an angel you could keep
For it would soon be time to go
You taught this angel wonderful things
That only a mother could do
Your angel learnt compassion and warmth
Whilst living inside of you
This angel was one that would have to leave
One you'd hardly hold
One you'd mourn for the rest of your life
If the truth be told
God realised you'd miss this angel

A way to express your love
